Barefoot brand from Netherlands, founded 2006.
Koel is a Dutch-founded brand that began with children's barefoot shoes and now also makes shoes for women and men, with kids' sizes starting at toddler. I like that the range covers everyday shoes, sandals, hiking and outdoor styles, plus waterproof winter boots and rubber boots. The shoes are made in Portugal, using materials such as leather, merino wool and vegan options.

Koel make several width fittings, so check which one a model uses before you order. I'd measure your foot and add 8 to 12mm, going up a size if you're between sizes. Add a bit more (Koel say 15mm) for furry-lined winter pairs.
