Hoss Handmade made minimal, barefoot style oxford shoes and chukka boots for both men and women, handmade in the USA. They used soft, unlined suede uppers and a roomy toe box, and the range came in a good spread of colours. I'd check that they are still selling before you get your heart set on a pair.
