Bashers is a South African brand whose leather barefoot boots and shoes are made in partnership with Hopewell Footwear, a family-run local factory. I like that they use traditional South African stitch-down construction with wide toe boxes and zero-drop soles. Most of the range is unisex, with boots, everyday shoes and a hiker, plus a slip-on style.

Anya's Reviews found the Hiker fairly wide in the toes but slim through the heel, so I'd skip these if you have extra wide feet. Measure your foot, leave about a centimetre of wiggle room, and check the UK size chart carefully.
