Barebarics

Barefoot brand from Slovakia, founded 2021.

Barebarics is the bolder, more sneaker-styled sister brand of Slovakia's Be Lenka, making chunky urban trainers for women and men, mostly sold as unisex. They have a wide toe box and zero drop, and the range includes insulated winter sneakers, some leather models and a vegan selection. They also sell barefoot socks and a few foot-care bits.

How Barebarics fits

Go by the size chart, not your usual number: measure your foot and add 0.5 to 1.2 cm. Toe room is generous and the laces help if your foot is lower volume. The insole comes out if you want more space, and the heel and ankle can feel stiff at first.
