Ameko is a Polish family company that has made children's shoes by hand in Poland for over 30 years, mostly from leather. I'd look at their barefoot range, which includes shoes, trainers and kids' slippers, plus some insulated boots. They also make first-steps and corrective-style shoes, so choose the barefoot models if that is what you want.

How Ameko fits

narrow width, medium volume

Ameko only seem to make children's shoes, so I couldn't find any adult sizing. Retailers say they suit slim, straight feet, so for a wider or chubbier foot I'd look at another brand. It's worth ordering two sizes to try, and leaving about 9 to 12 mm of growing room.
